The instructor of this class manages the largest cross connection control program in the State of Colorado. This program has conducted over 55,000 on site surveys in the last ten years, maintaining a solid relationship with Colorado regulators.
State of Colorado regulations require backflow surveys to be completed by all water suppliers for regulatory compliance. In this class, you will learn about principles and procedures of performing a complete cross connection survey of a customer’s premises. You will learn about Containment, Containment by isolation and Isolation as defined by CDPHE. Also discussed will be the relevant sections of CDPHE Regulation 11.39, Policy 007, International Plumbing Code (IPC) with discussions on the differences between ASSE and USCFCCHR installation and orientation requirements including good and bad backflow assembly installs. The idea of this class is to present the requirements and discuss the different ways that a water supplier can manage a survey program, avoiding potential violations from CDPHE.
While we provide individual attention to each of our students, we cannot guarantee that a student will pass the Backflow Tester or Specialist Certification exam. Refunds will not be given to students who do not pass the exam.
